Joseph Stalin
Who was Joseph Stalin?
Joesph Stalin was the leader of the Soviet Union from the mid 1920's until he died in 1953. He tried to end the anti-Hitler pact with other major European powers, but failed to do so. Stalin then entered a non-aggression pact with Nazi Germany, that then resulted in an invasion of Poland. Germany violated that agreement and invaded the soviet union in 1941. Stalin led the Soviet Union through it's post-war reconstruction phase, and it raised tension with the western world that later turned into the Cold War.
